The Straits Collective
The Straits Collective is a music group that brings people together through cultural exchange, education, and collaboration.
Inspired by Singapore’s rich mix of musical traditions and global sounds, the ensemble works with musicians through Pasat Merdu to explore, create, and connect across cultures.
Performances
The Straits Collective presented "A Musical Potluck" - an evening of musical exchange and creative leadership. Just like a potluck party, each member of the ensemble brings 2–3 tunes—original pieces or well-loved favourites—to share and lead with the group. Through this vibrant mix of traditions, styles, and stories, the concert celebrates the spirit of collaboration, where every musician takes a turn guiding the ensemble and shaping the sound
